Today was another one of those great, a-smile-as-its-residue days :D
FIRST OFF... I survived a meaningless, 9am chem-tute
with the help of some awesome people I'd recently befriended
before we found ourselves seated in the Copland Theatre,
laughing our heads off at yet another Prosh Week stunt
(on Wednesday we witnessed a parade of naked people in a lecture)
This one included my social-freak friend, who was a guy,
who was supposedly betrothed to another guy dressed in a suit,
and waiting down the front of the lecture hall.
There was a crowd of people who accompanied them,
as well as a chorus at the back, singing the matrimonial anthem.
My lecturer did the honour of serving as the ceremonial priest
(we were all wondering why he threw on a black robe
that made him look like Lord Voldemort [he was bald and very tall])
and at the end of the vows, THEY KISSED HAHAHAHA.
Then a random naked guy charges in after they've all left,
screaming 'I OBJECTTT!!! I OBJECTTT!!!!!!!!' LOLLL. Yuck.
In Bio I went down the front to sit with Steph and Amanda,
and we laughed through it, thank goodness--it's dry this semester.
For physics, however, we just got a new lecturer and
he's too quiet, too English (not a good combo) and he reads off slides
so Amanda and I were in a small dilemma--to skip, or not to skip?
We made it as far as sitting all the way in the back in the theatre,
and then I was like NOOO LET'S SKIP THIS and she was like okay?!
And then I said, skip it--yes?! and she's like OKAY LET'S DO IT
and I assumed that was the cue to escape this lecture,
so I charge all the way down the steps to the front doors
(completely forgetting about the proximity of the BACK doors--idiot)
so the whole theatre saw me run down like I was on fire
and when I turn around to close the doors behind me,
I saw that Amanda was still sitting in her seat, looking a bit stunned
which meant I looked even more like a loser, solo-ditching a lecture
but then when I waited outside for a bit, Amanda showed up
Apparently she felt compelled (and loyal) to charge out the same way
LOL so it was like, me running out all the way down the front,
and after a few mins, she runs out the same way. Fools together!
Then we were kind of lost on what to do with an extra hour
so we ventured on Lygon St :)
THENNN cut to the chase to when I began workkk,
I had my shift with a barista I'd never worked with before
but she was the one who took my resume when I first went in
it was a really nice shift--she was friendly, unlike the scary one ahah
and at the end of it, my boss told me I did really well :D
plus there were these two corporate-biz peoporrrh who came in,
recognised me and told my boss I was 'employee material',
cheered me on while I cleaned up the place, haha.
AAAND I had the pleasure of meeting Emma,
this lady who said she was running for the Australian Sex Party
(she wore the T shirt and everrrything!) and I wished her luck
Not that I would be voting for her but anyhow.
Now I'm sort of dazed. And thinking about voting..
I do NOT like Gillard. And there's something not quite right with Abbot.
Therefore..
Go Greens. They might actually win--that's what Amanda fears anyway.
Speaking of anyway, goodnight lovers :)
xx
